For the Federal ‘Einstein’ Cybersecurity Initiative, Traffic Visibility Is Essential

Gaining visibility into network traffic using both physical and virtual taps has become such a critical part of cyber defense that it is now included in the National Cybersecurity Protection System’s (NCPS) “Einstein3 A” initiative.  Without comprehensive traffic visibility, hackers have a better chance of increasing penetration across systems and attaining their goals (such as the exfiltration of data or records). Read the full article to see how the GigaSECURE Security Delivery Platform connects to the network via both physical and virtual taps to improve visibility and, in turn, security.

Active Visibility. This blog series looks at critical cyber-security issues that can be mitigated or better managed by adopting new and innovative approaches to traffic visibility and monitoring. The ability to gain complete traffic visibility is essential to directing traffic to security appliances and solutions to optimize their effectiveness. In addition, there are new “best practices” to improve security through traffic monitoring for virtual and cloud infrastructure. This blog series will identify tactical as well as strategic issues around this topic.
