Gigamon Recognized as Great Place to Work in Four Locations Worldwide

Culture within an organization is always a key discussion point during any interview. The most common questions we hear are: Will the organization’s culture align with my personal beliefs and morals? Or Will I be respected and given the chance to grow and contribute towards the organization’s long-term success?

What’s unique about Gigamon is that we truly believe in a people-centric culture, one where we embrace innovation through diversity of thought and enable powerful collaboration through trust and authenticity.

We call this One Gigamon.

Not long ago, I wrote about Gigamon earning the Great Place to Work Certification for our headquarters location in the U.S. Since then, our offices in Chennai, India and Singapore have also earned this certification in the past year.

Today, we celebrate that our London, U.K. office is our fourth global location to secure the Great Place to Work Certification, with 100 percent of employees reporting that they were made to feel welcome upon joining the company.

The Data Speaks Volumes

In each of our four global locations, employees reported they felt they were treated fairly regardless of race, sexual orientation, or gender, and felt safe and supported. Other key data points include:

In the United States, 92 percent of our employees said Gigamon is a great place to work, ranking it 57 points higher than the average U.S. company.

In the United Kingdom, 100 percent of employees reported management was easy to talk to. This speaks to the great work of our vice president of the EMEA region, Mark Coates, who firmly believes that trust in leadership is a key differentiator for organizations in today’s cybersecurity industry.

“The team in the U.K. is engaged and motivated, which has built a strong culture of collaboration. It is an honor to be recognized as a Great Place to Work and looking forward to many successes in the future!”
Mark Coates, vice president, EMEA

In Singapore, 100 percent of employees participated in the Great Places to Work survey, and the office is ranked in the top 10 best places to work in the country.

“For the second year running, 100 percent of the Singapore team completed the GTPW survey. This demonstrates such a high level of employee engagement within the team, and I’m thrilled to be certified again for the second year running!”
— Simon Lee, vice president, APAC

“There is a culture of collaboration, inclusivity, and work-life balance working in the Gigamon Singapore office. I really enjoyed the positive interactions with my co-workers and management.”
— Kenny Tan, senior director of channel sales, APAC

Headcount in our Chennai office recently surpassed our corporate headquarters in Santa Clara, California, and was recognized as a Great Place to Work for the second year in a row as we continue to recruit and hire new employees.

“Gigamon India has been monumental in helping deliver better products to our customers and is an integral part of our organization’s success story. We are glad that for the second consecutive year, we have been certified by ‘Great Places to Work’ in India, which reflects our employee-first culture. A Great Place to Work for us means that we live by our beliefs and values and do not let them rest on paper or on walls. We come together and collaborate to deliver common goals and be ourselves!”
— Sheeba Karthikeyan, senior director of HR

One Gigamon Is Unique

Our core beliefs were created with employees in mind. We are steadfastly committed to ensuring every employee has a rewarding and positive working environment. In fact, we are so focused on making this a reality that despite the global presence we have, every office feels like Gigamon. To accomplish this, we support several initiatives focused on elevating employees and providing them the ability to better serve their communities. These include:

  • GigaWomen – A program comprised of a group of people who are focused on empowering women and ensuring everyone has the same enriching experiences and opportunities for success, regardless of race or gender.
  • GigaGiving – A program that supports our employees’ desire to make a difference in their communities; Gigamon matches donations and volunteer hours.
  • GigaStar – A peer recognition program that recognizes teams and individuals who embody the One Gigamon spirit.

Our One Gigamon culture is clearly reflected in these results and underscores our ability to attract and retain top talent. None of this would be possible without the tireless commitment to excellence our employees demonstrate every day.
