Technologent is looking toward the future and bringing customers along with them through their digital transformation journeys. Headquartered in Irvine, California, Technologent serves customers worldwide, offering customized IT solutions that encompass data management, security, hybrid cloud, and automation. The company takes a holistic approach to assisting clients with IT modernization, prioritizing problem-solving and business outcomes.

We spoke with Keith Vincent, Principal Solutions Architect at Technologent, about the company and how Gigamon and Technologent bring greater value and visibility to customers, helping them face emerging challenges and get the most from their toolsets.

Gigamon: Who is Technologent and what is the company’s history?

Keith: Technologent is a women-owned and WBENC-certified global provider of edge-to-edge information technology solutions and services for Fortune 1000 companies. From its beginnings as a Sun reseller, the company has expanded exponentially. We now boast an annual revenue of $750 million and a workforce of over 300 employees in 14 offices across the U.S. and globally, with over 1,000 technical certifications. With a robust portfolio encompassing $240 million in professional services and maintenance, Technologent maintains an impressive 3:1 solution engineer-to-sales ratio, which demonstrates our commitment to delivering tailored solutions. Anchored by our innovation pillars — data management, cybersecurity, modern cloud, and digital automation — Technologent stays on the cutting edge of the industry landscape, ensuring its clients remain at the forefront of technological advancement.

Gigamon: Describe your company culture. What makes you tick?

Keith: Technologent is a combination of high-level of professionalism mixed with a family-owned company feel. While we take our work seriously, we try to have fun doing it.

Gigamon: When did you become a Gigamon partner?

Keith Vincent, Principal Solutions Architect

Keith: Our partnership with Gigamon is longstanding but underwent a revitalization when Regional Vice President of Sales Brian McNeil and Joe Shen, Practice Director of Secure Networking, attended the Gigamon Sales Kickoff in Los Angeles in February 2024. This event served as a catalyst, reigniting our commitment to collaboration and innovation with Gigamon. With McNeil and Shen’s strategic insights gleaned from the kickoff, we are poised to further enhance our offerings and deliver unparalleled value to our clients. This renewed engagement underscores our dedication to staying at the forefront of secure networking solutions, cementing our position as a trusted leader in the industry.

Gigamon: If you had to describe Gigamon with just one word, what would it be?

Keith: Relevant.

Gigamon: What are some of your market’s specifics, advantages, and challenges when it comes to network security and visibility?

Keith: Technologent’s customers have a need for network security and visibility to meet gaps in the security stack. Gigamon is a critical part of the observability architecture as it enables enterprises to maximize the value of monitoring and security platforms. Enterprises are challenged with ensuring there are no blind spots in their observability strategy. Designing a security stack around full observability is challenging due to the number of vendors in the security tooling space. Gigamon greatly simplifies the discussion because it can provide full visibility for any security or monitoring tool that optimizes application and network performance.

Gigamon: Which Gigamon features stand out the most and make the product outstrip its competitors?

Keith: Gigamon’s Precryption™ technology distinguishes itself by offering a proactive approach to threat detection and mitigation, setting it apart from competitors’ solutions.

Gigamon: How do you see Technologent fit together with Gigamon to solve your customers’ problems?

Keith: The Gigamon value proposition is a great fit for the Technologent security practice to bring to bear for our sales campaigns. Both engineers and sellers understand the use cases where Gigamon can solve customer business problems.

Gigamon: What are some of the new challenges you see in the market that your partnership with Gigamon can solve?

Keith: Gigamon helps address the growing emphasis on eliminating network monitoring blind spots. Besides visibility, ensuring a quality digital user experience is another customer challenge where Gigamon can come into play.

Gigamon: What are the positive business outcomes as a Gigamon partner?

Keith: Our rebooted Gigamon partnership has brought both renewed technical enablement to our engineers and target accounts to our sellers.

Gigamon: What are some of the benefits of the Gigamon Partner Program that stand out? Trainings? Incentives? Discounts? Co-marketing?

Keith: All of the above.

Gigamon: Thanks, Keith, for making time for us and for being such a wonderful partner!
