We spoke with Luong Bui, Technical and Product Deputy Director at VietSunshine, to learn more about the company and its partnership with Gigamon.

Gigamon: Who is VietSunshine and what is the company’s history?

Luong: VietSunshine was founded in 2006. With our headquarters in Ho Chi Minh City and offices in Hanoi, Cambodia (Phnom Penh), and Myanmar (Yangon), the company provides coverage for Vietnam and the surrounding area. VietSunshine has been successful in bringing many new vendors, including Bluecoat, Palo Alto, and FireEye, to our regional customers. Our company specializes in providing cybersecurity solutions and services, including integrated systems for banks, businesses, organizations, and government agencies, along with ongoing support. Our security team provides penetration testing, red teaming, incident response, and forensics services and has been recognized for the discovery of more than 20 common vulnerabilities and exposures (CVEs). We are proud to announce we also launched our MSSP/SOC business in July 2023 and our own Cyber Range for training and educating partners and customers in security attacks and defense in-depth.

Luong: One memorable anecdote involves a major cybersecurity incident that threatened a customer’s network infrastructure. Despite various security measures, they were struggling to detect and respond to the threat effectively.
