Partner Spotlight: Gigamon and Mission Critical Systems Team Up to Help Customers Fortify Their Networks

We sat down with Kin Mitra, President of Mission Critical Systems, to learn more about how its partnership with Gigamon helps solve its customers’ complex information security challenges.

Gigamon: Who is Mission Critical Systems, and what is the company’s history?

Kin: Mission Critical Systems is a security-focused partner that serves the southeastern U.S. The company has been in business for 25 years.

Gigamon: What does your company name stand for?

Kin: Mission Critical Systems defines what IT security needs to be: mission critical for today’s business success.

Gigamon: Describe your company culture. What makes you tick?

Kin: We are totally focused on security. We thrive on working with customers to tailor solutions that make them secure in this ever-changing environment.

Gigamon: When did you become a Gigamon partner?

Kin: We became a partner in November 2014.

Gigamon: If you had to describe Gigamon with just one word, what would it be?

Kin: Visibility.

Gigamon: What are some of your market’s specifics, advantages, and challenges when it comes to network security and visibility?

Kin: Our customers are looking for a unified solution to visibility, as opposed to several point products. Gigamon has a great solution in this space.

Gigamon: Which Gigamon features stand out the most and make the product outstrip its competitors?

Kin: Visibility through the overall hybrid architecture.

Gigamon: How do you see Mission Critical Systems fitting together with Gigamon to solve your customers’ problems?

Kin: Our customers are asking for solutions that address their hybrid network visibility challenges, and Gigamon provides a one-stop shop solution.

Gigamon: Where do you see the trends in network security and visibility in three years’ time?

Kin: Hybrid networks are here to stay, and depending on the customer, each one will have different needs. Gigamon has adapted to the current market well and continues to push the envelope toward the future.

Gigamon: What’s an anecdote that customers share when they talk about our products and your products and services?

Kin: Our customers say that Mission Critical Systems helps them discover and utilize security solutions tailored to their needs.

Gigamon: What is the most memorable moment associated with Gigamon as a partner?

Kin: Our Gigamon channel manager is awesome and works with us and the field team on many opportunities. She is always available to help.

Gigamon: What are some of the new challenges you see in the market that your partnership with Gigamon can solve?

Kin: Gigamon is a trusted name in the industry, and we leverage the current base to add new Gigamon products and features.

Gigamon: What are the positive business outcomes as a Gigamon partner?

Kin: Positive outcomes from having Gigamon as a partner include good margins and the confidence of knowing that Gigamon always has our back. They are a partner and a friendly team.

Gigamon: What unique capabilities does this partnership bring to your business?

Kin: Our partnership with Gigamon allows us to represent a brand name that is a much-needed solution for the current state of hybrid networks.

Kin: What stands out to me is great channel loyalty with a very partner-friendly team. Gigamon’s incentives and co-marketing are also great.
