Gigamon ThreatINSIGHT Guided-SaaS NDR Releases 2021.4 and 2021.5

Gigamon ThreatINSIGHT™ Guided-SaaS network detection and response (NDR) solution combines purpose-built NDR technology for adversary detection and response with Gigamon SOC/IR human talent dedicated to delivering guidance to your security team — together closing the SOC visibility gap, removing distractions, and providing expert advisory guidance when it matters most.

ThreatINSIGHT Guided-SaaS NDR delivers software updates monthly to ensure customers rapidly benefit from new capabilities and innovation. One element of being a Guided-SaaS solution is that updates to the cloud-native ThreatINSIGHT product are provided automatically by the Gigamon SaaS operations team. This ensures customers never have to get distracted by having to stop hunting for threats to perform software updates.

With releases delivered monthly, the 2021.4 (April) and 2021.5 (May) versions included some key advancements.

SAML SSO 2.0 Support

2021.5 includes support for SAML SSO 2.0. ThreatINSIGHT now integrates with any SAML 2.0 identity provider, providing a simplified user experience and more secure access to users and administrators of ThreatINSIGHT.

Azure Marketplace Availability

ThreatINSIGHT Azure machine image sensor is now available on the Azure Marketplace. Customers can access the image now.

Meta Stream Enhancements

ThreatINSIGHT released Meta Stream with the 2021.3 release, allowing customers to access and retain historical network metadata from ThreatINSIGHT indefinitely. The original release included all the event types captured by ThreatINSIGHT and supported additional enrichment data for the following fields: Flow, DHCP, DNS, HTTP, and SSL. The 2021.4 and 2021.5 releases added enrichment data for the following event types: DCE/RPC, FTP, Kerberos, NTLM, PE, SMB Files, SMTP, and X509 event types.

ThreatINSIGHT customers can read the detailed release notes for 2021.4 and 2021.5 in the help section of the web portal.
