What’s EMEA Abuzz About? Security and Our New Professional Services Program

2016 is the Year of the Channel. And it’s going to be a great one.

Last week, I returned from an extensive trip across Europe where I visited numerous partners in England, France, Switzerland, and Germany. I have to say, I was impressed—not only with the skills and knowledge of our long-term Gigamon partners, but with the proficiency and drive of some of our new security-focused partners to deliver complete security architecture solutions to their customers.

There was palpable excitement about the unique value proposition of the GigaSECURE® Security Delivery Platform to enable existing security vendors to seamlessly plug into a best-in-class security architecture. No matter what security vendor they have on their line card, with GigaSECURE, they can provide customized uses cases to their customers.

The buzz didn’t stop there. I felt the same excitement from our distribution and VAR partners, who told me they are benefiting from Gigamon’s market-leading position in network traffic visibility as well as our industry-first security delivery platform. At each and every visit, I learned about new use cases, about how they are presenting ROI to customers, and about how, thanks to Gigamon—products, services, and people—the teams are working together to make further inroads into some of the largest enterprise and service provider accounts in EMEA.

Looking toward next steps, many partners wanted to know more about whether Gigamon plans to enhance their coverage model to achieve worldwide delivery capacity to service customers with global data centers. I was delighted to let them know that, without a doubt, Gigamon can fulfill this request and that we can extend operational flexibility and coverage across all geographies. Additionally, I pointed to Gigamon’s recently expanded distribution model in EMEA with the addition of Exclusive Networks.

Perhaps even better was the fact that I was able to announce this month’s launch of the Gigamon Professional Services Partner Program. This program allows partners to design, implement, and install solutions on our behalf. It also demonstrates that the value proposition and ROI for the channel just got bigger.

Having had such a productive visit to EMEA, I can’t wait to get back out on the road to meet more partners. As the Year of the Channel continues, my goal is simple: Make partners as successful as possible in reselling Gigamon by getting them into the best accounts and enabling them to be skilled consultants offering solutions that leverage their entire portfolio.
