Gigamon Insights: Accelerating Time to Insight With Agentic AI and Network-Derived Telemetry

Today at Visualyze Bootcamp, we introduced Gigamon Insights, the next step in our multi-phase AI vision and strategy. This new agentic AI application is purpose-built to transform how organizations detect, investigate, and resolve cybersecurity threats, performance anomalies, and compliance gaps across hybrid cloud environments.

For years, security, networking, and IT teams have relied on dashboards, alerts, and log analysis to make sense of increasingly complex environments. But with adversaries now using AI to automate attacks and a global shortage of skilled professionals, these approaches can no longer keep pace. To get ahead, teams need answers faster, grounded in trusted data, and available directly within the platforms they already use. That is the problem Gigamon Insights was designed to solve.

Built on Network-Derived Telemetry

Gigamon Insights is integrated into the Deep Observability Pipeline, combining high-fidelity network telemetry with Application Metadata Intelligence (AMI) to deliver immediate, context-rich, actionable guidance. By enriching packets and flows with application-level context, AMI ensures that the insights produced are both accurate and relevant.

Unlike traditional log-based approaches, network-derived telemetry provides a robust and immutable source of truth. This foundation allows Gigamon Insights to surface issues that other tools might miss — from lateral movement techniques to expired certificates — while helping teams maintain complete visibility into all data in motion across modern hybrid cloud infrastructure.

An Agentic AI Interface

At the heart of Gigamon Insights is an agentic AI interface that empowers analysts to move faster. Teams can run pre-defined prompts for common investigations or create free-form queries for deeper analysis. Instead of combing through dashboards or toggling across tools, analysts can simply ask questions and receive immediate, contextual insights with recommended actions.

This capability helps both senior and less experienced team members perform like seasoned experts, reducing the need for lengthy training programs, accelerating root-cause analysis and freeing time to focus on more strategic tasks. The result is faster mean time to resolution (MTTR), improved operational efficiency, and greater resilience in the face of AI-driven threats.

The page shows a navigation panel on the left with categories like Security Monitoring, Network Monitoring, and DevOps, each listing prompts such as “Salt typhoon-related TTPs,” “Top 5 network performance concerns,” and “WebEx Performance.” In the main section, the heading reads “Gigamon Insights – AI-powered guidance to detect, troubleshoot, and secure.” Below are quick action buttons labeled Security Visibility, Application Monitoring, Application Vulnerabilities, Network Performance, SSL Monitoring, and Compliance Assurance. At the bottom is an input box labeled “Ask Gigamon Insights” with a query about analyzing network traffic for signs of lateral movement.

Powered by a Partner Ecosystem

To be clear, Gigamon Insights is not a standalone tool — it is designed to integrate seamlessly with the platforms organizations already use and depend on. Gigamon Insights will initially launch with integrations into SIEM and observability platforms from Elastic and Splunk and cloud services from AWS, with additional integrations to quickly follow.

In Elastic Security, customers can leverage AI-driven network telemetry to enrich investigations and accelerate threat detection.

Within Splunk, teams can fuse telemetry with AI to speed workflows and reduce the time it takes to turn data into answers.

With AWS, Gigamon Insights helps organizations strengthen cloud security posture and respond more effectively to performance and compliance risks.

By embedding directly into these environments, Gigamon Insights empowers organizations to maximize the investments they have already made in their SIEM, observability, and cloud platforms.

Delivering Tangible Value

With Gigamon Insights, customers can:

  • Detect advanced threats and command-and-control activity or lateral movement
  • Troubleshoot application and network performance issues more quickly
  • Identify and remediate compliance risks, such as expired certificates or weak encryption
  • Validate Zero Trust policies and strengthen overall security posture
  • Save valuable analyst time and reduce MTTR across security, IT, and NetOps teams

All of this is delivered while preserving data privacy through a flexible AI architecture that supports the private or public cloud LLMs that organizations have already deployed.

The Road Ahead

Gigamon Insights is available in preview today at Visualyze Bootcamp, with general availability and expanded partner integrations coming later this year. Together with AI Traffic Intelligence and GigaVUE-FM Copilot, Gigamon Insights completes the foundation of the Gigamon AI strategy: giving customers visibility, efficiency, and accelerated time to insight in a world increasingly defined by AI.

At Gigamon, our goal is simple: turn the unmatched fidelity of network-derived telemetry into trusted, actionable insights that empower organizations to detect, troubleshoot, and secure — at scale. With Gigamon Insights, that vision is now a reality.
