Gigamon: Who is Arrow and what is the company history?

Tony: Arrow Electronics is a global distributor of electronics components and enterprise computing solutions. We were founded in 1935 in New York, expanded into distribution in the 1950s, and went public in 1979. Today Arrow operates worldwide, providing supply chain services, engineering support, and a wide range of IT solutions to enable technology across major industries and markets.

Gigamon: Describe your company culture. What makes you tick?

Gigamon: What are the wow moments associated with Gigamon?

Tony: Seeing the difference that visibility into lateral and encrypted traffic combined with Application Metadata Intelligence can provide to SIEM and the entire security stack. Showing prospects that they don’t need different tools and methods to achieve pervasive network visibility across their physical, virtual, or public and private cloud environments, and that using Gigamon can help minimize tool sprawl and maximize ROI and effectiveness.

Gigamon: How do you see Gigamon playing in your security solution portfolio?

Tony: Many security solutions or initiatives depend on network telemetry to be effective, such as XDR/NDR, SIEM, Zero Trust, and visibility into encrypted, container, and East-West traffic. Gigamon should be considered in these conversations, as it can eliminate network blind spots that the tools themselves cannot eliminate. It can also lower the barriers to implementing new tools in the future by virtue of its “instrument once, send optimized telemetry streams to whoever needs it” architecture. Tool sales drive Gigamon sales and vice versa.

Gigamon: How does this partnership help in expanding market reach and accessibility to mutual customers?

Tony: Arrow is educating its partners to understand what Gigamon’s Deep Observability Pipeline is and how it can enhance their customer’s security and visibility posture across all workload environments. It’s a natural “better together” story that promotes the symbiotic sales of Gigamon and tools that require or work much better with network telemetry.

Gigamon: What specific achievements stand out as milestones in our partnership?

Tony: Arrow’s relationship with Gigamon is driven by a cohesive framework for open communication and collaboration. This synergy has not only enhanced our combined ability to navigate and win complex deals but also set a standard for aligning strategy and execution to drive mutual success.

Gigamon: What kind of support and training do you provide to your channel partners to help them effectively sell and deploy Gigamon solutions?

Tony: Arrow has a dedicated team of individuals who support the Gigamon product line, including sales, marketing, and engineering. They provide product enablement, ongoing support throughout the sales cycle, and marketing collateral to assist in educating channel partners and driving new business.

Gigamon: What are some success stories that demonstrate the impact of our joint efforts on customer outcomes?

Tony: By leveraging market intel and Arrow’s ecosystem of channel partners, we successfully identified new end-user targets for Gigamon partners, helping to expand their pipeline and generate additional opportunities for the year.

Gigamon: How do you see the value proposition of working together with Gigamon evolving in the coming years, considering market trends and technological advancements?

Tony: The Arrow + Gigamon value proposition is evolving to address increasingly dynamic, hybrid network environments. As digital transformation continues to drive more organizations into multi-cloud, edge, and IoT deployments, Gigamon is integrating automation, AI-driven analytics, and software-defined visibility into its solutions. This evolution can not only enhance network security and performance but can also simplify management and reduce operational complexity, offering Arrow resellers and their customers a more agile and comprehensive approach to modern network infrastructures.

Gigamon: What feedback have you received from resellers regarding the benefits of integrating Gigamon solutions into their operations?

Tony: Integrating Gigamon solutions allows our resellers to offer advanced network visibility and traffic management, which can enhance overall security and performance for their customers. This not only helps differentiate the reseller’s portfolio but also can open opportunities for additional margin and deeper customer relationships by positioning the reseller as a strategic partner in managing complex network infrastructures.

Gigamon: What unique value does Gigamon bring to your portfolio that sets us apart in the market?

Tony: Gigamon can provide a single pervasive source of network visibility into all the modern compute environments that Arrow offers — physical, virtual, and cloud. Just as important, it can send an optimized stream of network telemetry to security, network, and application tools in a multitude of formats that are native to each. Gigamon can maximize the capabilities, efficiency, and ROI of existing tools – while simplifying the evaluation and implementation of new ones.

Gigamon: Thanks, Tony, for making the time for us and for being a wonderful partner!
