Growing Momentum on the Public Cloud with AWS

Gigamon launched the Visibility Platform for AWS a few months ago to strong interest from our customers and partners who need pervasive visibility to data-in-motion across on-premise and public cloud deployments. It’s been a busy few months (very busy) as we’ve continued to grow our offering on AWS and elevate our partner statuses. The AWS Summit begins today in San Francisco (Gigamon is a sponsor, booth #1813) and this is a great opportunity to provide you with a cloud update.

Soon after the launching we announced one of our earliest customer success stories, Chicago Mercantile Exchange, helping the world’s leading derivatives marketplace standardize monitoring solutions across AWS and on-premise deployments. To help customers like CME evaluate the Visibility Platform, we developed Test Drive, a fully automated no-cost proof-of-concept that walks customers through several scenarios to demonstrate the capabilities of the Visibility Platform on AWS.

Along with Test Drive, we’ve recently launched in AWS Marketplace, making it even easier for customers to quickly find and launch the Visibility Platform for AWS.  You’ll find us within the AWS Marketplace Security category or by typing a quick search for Gigamon. We’ve added automation using AWS CloudFormation to help customers deploy into an existing VPC within minutes.

Gigamon continues to expand its cloud competency with AWS and we recently achieved the Advanced Technology Partner status. Gigamon underwent rigorous evaluations to meet the stringent APN technical validation criteria for reliability, security, performance and product architecture, including live customer deployments. The designation demonstrates the company’s ability to deliver faster, improved and more secure application workload performance in AWS.

In addition to the Advanced Technology Partner status, we achieved the Public Sector Partner status by satisfying requirements around dedicated experience and readiness to support government, education and nonprofit entities. Private sector and SLED organizations can gain increased visibility in AWS while meeting strict security, compliance and regulatory standards.

Gigamon also continues to expand its growing security eco-system with new technology partner, Vectra Networks, an automated network security management provider. Together, the companies offer a combination of network intelligence and threat detection that allows businesses to successfully leverage cloud strategies within their public infrastructures.
