EMEA Partner Conference 2016: Uncovering Hidden Opportunity

Last week, Gigamon hosted our first EMEA Partner Conference at the beautiful Druids Glen Resort, one of Ireland’s most stunning golf resorts. Designed to share our vision, strategy, and direction, the event brought together channel partners from around the entire European landscape and provided not only a great platform for them to network with Gigamon executives and team members, but more importantly, to exchange ideas and best practices with one another.

The event’s theme, “Uncovering Hidden Opportunity,” was supported by content that showcased the benefits and positioning of Gigamon solutions; identified key use cases; and introduced the tools and resources needed to execute in country. For new partners, we also offered an introductory technical track; and for the more technical audience, a series of application-specific deep-dives and hands-on labs.

Announcing Gigamon’s Compact Security Delivery Platform

It was clear that Gigamon’s position in the security space—with GigaSECURE® as “the” platform around which to design a robust and scalable security infrastructure—continues to excite our VARs, who see the superb opportunity to create a full range of solutions, which include security tools as well as professional services and support.

We were particularly excited to pre-announce GigaVUE-HC1—our single-rack, modular visibility appliance (aka Compact Security Delivery Platform). Designed based on direct input from the channel (you talked, we listened), the new product targets mid-market, medium, and distributed enterprises, and will open up a whole new segment to our channel community.

One Gigamon. Many Thanks.

Without a doubt, our “One Gigamon” culture is dependent upon a strong and symbiotic relationship with our partners and their sales teams. As Gigamon is but one part of a full technology solution and business offering, we were pleased to welcome some of our key ecosystem partners: Trend Micro, LogRhythm, Lumeta, and Vectra Networks. (Thanks to all for the support!) And we were equally pleased to see the enthusiasm and engagement from all attendees. They get it and I personally look forward to continued investment and expansion in EMEA.

Besides a minor, power-outage glitch on opening day (the work of devilish leprechaun?), the Gigamon channel opportunity shone through like a rainbow after a soft Irish shower, and we were able to finish strong with a tour of the Guinness Brewery. Not only does that company’s recent “Together We Are More” campaign ring true to us at Gigamon, but c’mon, what’s a trip to Ireland without a pint or two of the creamy, dark brew that’s a meal in itself?
